BUILT FOR RACE DAY

Portable toilets planned around your course, not just your headcount

The half hour before the start gun is the biggest restroom rush of almost any event. Runners all need a restroom at once, then the course, finish line and post-race party bring a second wave. River Parish Portables helps race directors and event planners across the Baton Rouge area plan enough units, put them in the right places and keep them clean and stocked from packet pickup to the final finisher.

We supply portable restrooms for start and finish areas and aid stations, hand-wash stations for food and beer tents, ADA-accessible units, and restroom trailers for sponsor and VIP areas — all on one quote with no hidden fees.

SIZING & PLACEMENT GUIDE

How many porta potties does your race need?

1

Start & finish line

Plan roughly 1 portable toilet for every 75–100 participants at the start, plus at least one ADA-accessible unit. Longer races and big crowds need more.

2

Along the course

Place 1–2 units at aid stations every few miles on longer courses, and at transition areas for triathlons and cycling events.

3

Hand-wash stations

Add hand-wash stations at the finish line, food and beer tents, and anywhere volunteers handle cups, water or snacks.

4

VIP & sponsor areas

Restroom trailers with flushing toilets and running water give sponsors, elite athletes and VIP tents a real upgrade.

RACE DAY FAQS

Race & event portable toilet FAQs

How many porta potties do I need for a 5K?

A good starting point is about one portable toilet for every 75–100 runners at the start and finish area, plus at least one ADA-accessible unit. Spectators, longer distances and post-race parties all add demand. Tell us your headcount and we'll calculate the right number.

Where should portable toilets go on a race course?

Cluster most units near the start corral and finish area, keep them clear of the start chute, and place one or two units at aid stations on longer courses or at triathlon transition areas. We'll help you plan placement and truck access.

Do I need hand-wash stations for a fun run or race?

We recommend them at the finish line and anywhere food, drinks or beer are served. Hand-wash stations also help volunteers who are handling cups, water and snacks at aid stations.

Do you rent restroom trailers for VIP and sponsor areas?

Yes. Our 3-, 4- and 10-stall restroom trailers have flushing toilets and running water — a great upgrade for sponsor tents, elite athletes, VIP areas and holiday market vendors.

How early should I book portable toilets for my race?

As soon as your date is set. Fall and spring race weekends, holiday markets and Christmas parades book up quickly across the Baton Rouge area, and many organizers reserve months in advance.

Can you deliver before an early-morning start?

Yes. We schedule delivery the day before or early on race morning and plan pickup after your event — just tell us your start time and any venue rules.

Ready to book for race day?

Tell us the date, course and headcount and we'll recommend the right mix — with one full price, delivery to pickup, and nothing added later.
